The "ECO Sleeper" is a new concept to transform 3 or 4 empty economy seats into a cozy bed, offering sleeping comfort never experienced before.
The "ECO Sleeper" has a "separation wall" on the one side to provide privacy to the sleeping passengers. A folding flap on the other side allows the passenger to sit buckled up on the aircraft-seat during take off and landing or while eating. Once the passenger elects to sleep, he just folds the flap down to create a seamless bed for a relaxing sleep. A cutout on the flap eases the exit and the entry even when folded down.
The "ECO Sleeper" can be pre-installed before take off to reduce the workload of the crew during the flight and prevents other passengers from occupying this particular seat rows once boarding is completed.
Depending on the load factor, airlines have now the opportunity to not only generate ancillary revenue with empty seat spaces, but can also offer at the same token quality upgrades to the demanding economy passengers. The "ECO Sleeper" weighs less than 4 kg and installation/restoring can be done by one crew in less than 2 minutes. Deflated, the "ECO Sleeper" consumes very little space.
